another foreign guy that has no clue. why do we keep doing this Thanks for the welcome everyone, especially to Deputy. Thanks to you also. What a welcome! I'm not american, but I prefer to speak with facts. I promise you that I will not leave the league. A free advice: open your mind. This will be best for you! Track record of foreign GMs is not good. Fact.

Welcome Samu!! Nice to have another Spaniard in here, despite the recent hispanophobia outbreak I don't care where you're from or what your primary language is. When you join an English speaking league though it is detrimental to the league if your English sucks. Good trade talks require dialogue and when you cant make heads or tails of what the hell the other team is saying, it is a terrible experience. From talking with current and past GMs I know this has been a frustrating issue.

I think that people who join foreign leagues possess an acceptable level of the language that the people on the league speak. In fact, I don't know why a person would join a foreign league if he cannot communicate fluently with the other members. At least this is my case, I always make sure that everyone understands what I want to say, either in Spanish or English.

For the most part it is not an issue but we have had a few GMs where it is impossible to communicate efficiently.
